Veterinary Consent
For vet physios, veterinary consent is required by law under the Veterinary Surgeons Act (1966) in cases of injury or any animal under current veterinary supervision. If you are a veterinarian, or other member of the multidisciplinary team, looking to add veterinary physiotherapy to a patient’s treatment plan, or would like to know more about whether vet physio can help a patient of yours, please fill out the form below or call us on 07565012953.
Please send all relevant clinical history to info@mavenrehab.co.uk.
For more information on how we can work together to get the best care for your patients, see the bottom of this page or feel free to contact us.
I am qualified at Level 7 (Integrated Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy), a full member of the NAVP (National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists), and fully insured. I will work with you to get the best for your patients. For any injury or post surgical case that you consent for me to treat, I will usually write a short report after the initial session to let you know a rough treatment plan, and then will keep you updated every 4-6 weeks, unless I feel the animal needs to see you sooner. If you’d like more frequent updates or would like to ask questions along the way, feel free to let me know!
For animals that aren’t injured, but the owner is interested in regular maintenance therapy, consent isn’t required, but I will still let you know that I am treating this patient and will keep you updated on the animals progress with a short report, usually every 3-6months.
